OUR TEAM
We are so thankful for the wonderful people who have felt called to be a part of The Beacon Vineyard, South Tyneside.
We are a local community church, made up of a range of people of different ages and backgrounds, all with a love for South Tyneside and a desire to live life with Jesus at the centre. Whether you’re exploring the Christian faith, wanting to understand what it looks like to follow Jesus in a community of other believers, or are looking for a new missional adventure, you’re very welcome.
Mike and Jo Sutton are our Pastors, leading us under God’s direction. You can find out more about their story to South Shields here.
Senior Pastors
Mike loves to serve the Lord, and has a passion for hospitality and evangelism (so if you’ve not yet been invited for meal, it won’t be long!). He works for South Tyneside Council in adult social care. He loves hitting the gym, and when the weather’s good, the odd paddleboard.
Jo is passionate for seeing people thrive to be all God’s made them to be, and to communicate God’s word. She works for The Recruitment Junction, a local charity placing people with convictions into employment across the north east. Jo enjoys running and getting out into God’s beautiful creation.
